Finding Love in the Heart of Cebu
“If you’re having difficulty finding love, why not take your search elsewhere?”
Those are the exact words that Robert told his friend, Brad.
Brad was the kind of guy you could easily show off to your parents. He was good-natured, considerate, intellectual, and courteous.
Anyone would have been lucky enough to date him. But he wasn’t interested in a relationship until he had a stable career.
So he studied hard to get his degree, graduated with flying colors, and landed himself a job that could keep him comfortable for the rest of his days. Now that he secured his future, all he was missing was a partner to spend it with.
He tried to meet new people with the help of his friends, but he just couldn’t click with any of them. Most of them weren’t sure about the idea of dating him with the idea of marriage.
Brad tried taking his search online. But because he was new to the online dating scene, he was scammed and catfished.
The poor guy was so close to giving up after the 3rd fraud call from his bank. It wasn’t until he tried matchmaking that his luck started to change.
His friend, Robert, suggested that he give it a try. If it weren’t for the service, he wouldn’t have met his current wife, Gigi.
Brad wasn’t entirely sold on the idea initially. It wasn’t until he reached out to me that he started to believe.
To prove my credibility as a matchmaker, I went into detail about how our process worked. I told him all about our services and our tours. Brad didn’t waste any time signing up for one of our Cebu tours.
Brad was a man who knew what he wanted and was always straight to the point with his questions. Because of this, I found it easy to filter out his perfect match: a woman from Mactan named Marlyn.
Marlyn was as lively as any Cebuana could be. She could easily fill in a conversation without losing her energy or personality.
So I personally arranged their date and introduced them to each other.
The first few dates were experimental. Both of them wanted to get familiar with each other’s culture first.
Marlyn had to get used to the fact that Brad was an independent person, while Brad had to accept that Marlyn had strong family values.
Their differences in culture and interests did not deter them from seeing each other again. Every meeting they had only made them eager to learn more about each other.
Cebu brought out the best in them. Marlyn got to bring Brad to her favorite places, and Brad brought Marlyn to the places in Cebu she’s always wanted to visit.
Their mutual love for adventure helped advance their relationship to the next level. It wasn’t long before they fell hard for each other.
It’s funny how a simple recommendation led Brad to the best thing that has ever happened to him. It’s thanks to Robert that Brad also found his own happiness.
