Do women prefer feminine men because they are good partners, or because they can be easily exploited and manipulated?

According to a study conducted by David Perrett of the University of St. Andrews, women prefer masculine men for short-term relationships, but healthy and feminine men for long-term relationships.

This is because they perceive macho-looking men to be more likely to be unfaithful. They’re also less likely to be good fathers than feminine-looking men.

I don’t agree nor disagree with this stereotype because I believe that being a good partner isn’t about how you look, but rather how you act.

But, apparently, a lot of women also like feminine men because of their softer nature, like empathy and sensitivity.

Hmm, does that mean masculine-looking men don’t have these qualities?

There is a lot to be said about this topic. But let’s focus on one theme — what are the traits of some feminine guys, and why do women like them?

According to LovePanky, these are the qualities of many of these men:

They like their partners to take control of the relationship.

There are men who don’t feel the need to be the dominant ones in the relationship. They like their partners to be assertive and make decisions for both of them. For women who like dominant men, this can be off-putting.

But for others who want the exact opposite, feminine guys are the ideal guys.

They’re not afraid to cry in public.

This means that they have no problems showing their emotions wherever they may be. We know how some men hide their emotions because they’re afraid to be seen as weak and fragile.

But these guys don’t see anything wrong with being open and vulnerable to others, hence many women are attracted to them.

They like deep relationship talks.

As a woman, I like my man to care about our relationship. This means that he should be eager to share his opinions and expectations to help our relationship grow.

And this trait is prevalent among feminine guys. They actually love having relationship talks because they believe that these are key to happy and healthy connections with their partners.

But there are risks to being a feminine guy.

If you’re a feminine man, there will be plenty of women who want to be with you. But it’s still a matter of finding a woman who genuinely wants a relationship.

What if you end up with someone who only wants to control you?

Femininity isn’t a weakness, but I have met women who enjoy being with these men because they think they’re naïve and powerless.

And these are the women you have to watch out for.

There’s nothing wrong with being feminine.

Indeed there are risks involved, but they shouldn’t stop you from becoming the man you want to be.

If you want to be a feminine man, then be one.

Just remember, many women may want you, but not all of them will be kind and genuine. So take your time to know them to see if they’re right for you.
